I keep wanting to pronounce this "luckle-dy Jah." Like "buckle" with a "dee" on the end.
Well then you want to pronounce it in the right way!

Oh. Well, that's a relief.

I think my friend was mishearing the idiom "luck of the draw." He just invented an explanation for the idiom without really understanding what he was saying.

I was hoping that it was some sort of Jamaican/Creole neologism. Now I feel sort of disappointed.

I wonder kind of feedback L'Inc gets on ratemyprofessor.

The product they eat in Texas is not "chili" properly speaking. Would you believe me if I told you that the vast majority of Texas "chilis" do not even have spaghetti in them?

Here it comes...

Amendment 28. People who believe chili has "spaghetti" in it hereby have their citizenship revoked, and they are granted no rights effective immediately.

Any chance we can get that passed?

I don't think that chili has to have spaghetti in it, but I think it can in certain circumstances. Cincinnati style chili is an example. Do I get to retain my rights under 28A?
The only people whose rights should be revoked are people who eat their chili spaghetti with a horizontally orientated plate instead of a vertically orientated plate.

I have competed in many chili cookoffs, and not to brag but I've won my fair share. In my experience, there is usually a separate competition for non-spaghetti chilis. That specific portion of the competition is regarded by many as analogous to "bunny slopes" in skiing. The real action is in the spaghetti chili competition. (No one calls it spaghetti chili in the biz though, they just call it chili.)

Goddamnit, I just spent 10 minutes reading about Cincinnati chili. Why is there always so much cheese piled on it? Looks absolutely horrid.
