Kids and ice cream story. My grandmother always called an ice cream headache the masias cos which is a plant that grows wild in southern Louisiana. When I asked as a child why she did this she told me this story. When one of my great uncles was a kid he stole a half gallon of ice cream from the local . grocery store and ran off. They found him hiding in the masias cos shoving ice cream in his face with his hands ,sobbing in pain from the headache but refusing to stop until he ate every bite he could get in before the ass beating .
This same uncle was called foots because he fought as an infantryman in europe throughout WW2 without a scratch . Shortly after he returned he blew two toes off in a ,probably drunken , hunting accident
