GoDaddy has been pissing me off lately. Once upon you a time you paid some tiny amount and got unlimited emails with your hosted domain. They've been upping the price constantly and changing the email service to make more than a couple boxes cost more. Now they've taken to calling my cell phone, always at a bad time, to try and "go over the account" to upsell me more.

Fuckers.

I'm going to have to find another place to host my personal email domain.

What the hell do you guys need personal email domains for??

Unless "personal email domain" is code for "my carefully curated collection of scat porn, now available to the public"....amirite??!

GF has been campaigning to host Pio's personal domain for a while now.

Just had it forever, as in, since about 1997.

I had one through godaddy for a number of years. Like Pio said, it was so cheap that it was the sort of thing you could do on a "what the hell, why not just in case?" basis. Actually using their email system was clumsy and annoying, which was lame but not a big deal since I wasn't really using it for anything. But my general experience with them was similar to Pio's -- they were obnoxious, intrusive, generally annoying. Dropped them long ago.

That does suck. I had a woman who stopped at a yield sign. She started to go, and I let off the brake while looking to follow her. She immediately stopped, and so I hit her going <1MPH as I was just a millisecond to slow hitting the brakes myself. She was driving a junky old Ford Winstar, and she claimed I scratched her car where the license plate screw touched her bumper. USAA just replaced the bumper because it was a "textured scratch." My rate didn't increase though.

Edit: She also parked on the highway exit ramp which prevented people from going around and called the cops. The cop showed up and was just like "you shouldn't have called us" and left.

Just use google apps for your domain...it is better than whatever shit godaddy provides anyways.

I used to use godaddy but then one day I just barely touched it at a yield sign kicked me out of the service and wouldn't even pull over to the side of the road. I signed up with google apps got the better end of the deal anyways.

Google Apps will host a DNS?

Also, doesn't everyone have www.theirname.com? I did that back in the mid 90s and have kept it with no plans of giving it up. Don't use it but want it.
