Things That Are Bothering You, Got You All Hibbeldy-Jibbeldy, or just downright pissed, RIGHT NOW! - Page 5144

Roommates are shit. Seriously, if you were randomly assigned an SF roommate do you think you'd be better off or not? You want to share a bathroom with Jr. Mouse? Or Hermes Man? Or Piobare? Or IDFNL? Or foo.gif ?

That's what I thought.

I don't think GF would mind living with Pio. I daresay he'd welcome it.

The best living situation I had was back in Dallas. 2 br 2 ba luxury apartment with garage parking. Cheapest rent I've had to date so far too.

Roomie was in sales and did well for himself so he furnished the hell out of the apartment through his own volition. We're talking about 70" TVs, a 50" TV he lent me to hang in my room, $5k copper core cooking sets, etc.

Loved that living situation. He became a good friend too.

This is such bullshit. Actually living with your parent's until you're 30 is the American thing.

FWIW, I bought my own place when I was 24.

People that live with their parents after they're 18 and out of high school are losers and should feel bad

This is a pretty recent phenomena at least on the scale you see it it today . It was actually rare to non existent when I was 18. The living at home thing that is

Meh...I'm 28 and I have a lot of friends with roommates. In fact, most of them do even though they could live alone if they really wanted.

Many are only just getting to the point where they don't want them anymore. One is moving in with his GF soon and his roommate will be moving to a new place without roommates. Others have made murmors that living alone sounds like it might be nice but aren't willing to give up their apartments. My GF is moving to a studio (although, she lived with a consultant who was gone all week...and I can't remember the last weekend she wasn't at my place...so she basically lived alone).

They mostly all have good roommates that they know...not a ton of random craigslist jokers. Never heard of anyone complain that they can't get laid because of their roommates (and many who have gotten laid on account of roomates' freinds). When you are in NYC or the bay area and don't make piles of money, living alone sounds tough...and even here in cheap Chicago, I recognize that I have paid a lot of money over the years for the privilege of living alone.

But yeah, pets are great for the ladies.

What better excuse to get out of the cab at your place than to meet your cute fuzzy animal?

You bought in 2009? Lucky fuck.

I hope we have another housing crash so I can buy cheap too.

Yea would be nice...I need to finish grad school so I can buy a place before turning 30 but I have a legit apt now at a decent price.

I need to come to terms with the fact my gf won't be making 6 figures until we are 35 though

Buying in 2009 FTW.

Give it a fucking rest, why.

Well that is unfair. I am America but there's room for improvement.
