Cuz as a straight guy I don't think I mind it as much as girls do. I barely know any girls that even like being complimented on physical aesthetics
for me it can be flattering to be objectified by women, but then again that's not really a good comparison... you have to experience it from somewhere/someone you want no part of to get the full experience.
In collage I was part of a 4 day photo/video shoot for a beauty pageant at a beach resort.
I figured I could maybe get lucky with one of the candidates so I volunteered to be a lackey who'd carry bags and equipment. The whole operation was run by the local gay mafia (pageant organizer, dance choreographers, hair and makeup people) and for the whole 4 days I think I truly felt like what it was like to be objectified and sexually harassed.
- I was roomed with two ghey dudes who barged in on me while taking a shower.
- I was constantly groped by ghey dudes in close situations (like riding in packed buses to photo locations/while carrying equipment)
- during the down time at dinners or after shoot drinks I had unsolicited drinks constantly pushed in my face to get me drunk by ghey dudes.
- when I tried to sleep I would get constant offers for massages from my roommates.
I tried to laugh it off (because some of the gheys were pretty close friends to begin with), but two days in I was exhausted
, fending off the gheys (who had free reign to be wild because they organized the whole thing with free rooms/food/drinks at this awesome island 5 star beach resort owned by an alumni). even my normally decent more conservative ghey friends were acting a fool.
eventually I started talking to one of the candidates (she noticed my plight
) and we shared a moment and I got to hook up with her on night 3. still I took to heart what if felt like to be unwillingly objectified and harassed for those 4 days.
