My co-worker routinely sails. He takes off like 3 months at a time and does these crazy routes. He shows me pictures and it looks like an absolute nightmare for a person like me. I would have to be paid handsomely to do what he does for fun.

Cruising is boring. It's all about windward/leeward sportboat racing. Everything else is for the birds.

He would get these like hourly printouts of wind forecasts and current changes and stuff. He would know these areas to avoid migrating into where there would be no wind and such. It was kind of like trying to trade the stock market.

That makes sense because they are both completely unpredictable. Love the Vix this week between China, Greece and nyse tech issues

Because some people pursue leisure activities that are leisurely.

Pointless.

Unless, of course, the purpose of your leisure activities are to be leisurely.

One of my leisure activities is drinking. I enjoy doing that leisurely.

But you can be perfectly leisurely on a sailboat...

You can be but I find many rag baggers are not. It's the difference between owning a sport bike vs a cruiser and purchasers tend to be self-selective.

I'v come to the realization that I am the most incredibly boring person on the face of the planet. During a meeting with some new people at the office the director wanted us to introduce ourselves and say something about us. I literally didn't know what to say. I don't do anything, or have any interests. I just said what I have done at the Company and the director awkwardly was like, yeah, he uh, also drinks wine and martinis and wears suits all of the time...

Everybody else was going on about how they play hockey, or hiking, or other tangible things. I had nuttin.

Just make some stuff up.

It's easy.

Meh.

Snow skiing is done while wearing clothing that makes all women look like the Michelin Man, skiing is done accompanied by beautiful women in bikinis.

Deep sea fishing is the sport of kings.

Diving for not being a completely boring asshole. I guess when you don't come from God's country, i.e Qld you might not be aware of the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef.

Tooling around with with a beautiful bikini clad woman on your lap, and a single malt in your hand as opposed to struggling to get anywhere using ancient technology while salty water in your gullet. You stick with smoke signals, and jacking off alone in your cave, I'll keep my smart phone and blow jobs from attractive ladies.

"pretending to be Carry Grant from To Catch a Thief?"
Meh.

Meh? Meh? Get the fuck off the styleforums.

I can relate, PB. Although I do play the violin. I work out and cook but I don't consider those hobbies. Other than that, I don't really care about "fun", as most people call it.

Only two of those things are true.

Only you know that. That's the important part.
