So basically there is a big parachute-like sail called a spinnaker that you put up when the wind is behind you. Sometimes you turn the boat too much such that the wind is now coming over the side of the boat instead of from behind. In such a case your big parachute sail pulls your boat onto its side. Sometimes it's fun. When the water is cold, it is not fun.
