I would laugh for a good 20 seconds if an interviewee left a hand written thank you note. Is it against the law to deny employment because of kitsch?

Last year an applicant with huge tits had an email address of (her-last-name-here)DDD@....

Can't make this shit up.

Nope. Deny me employment - seems like you would be insufferable to work with anyway.

Maybe that type of thing gets more traction in the middle of the country. It's a simpler place out there.

Maybe, but what's the difference between me dropping off a note saying the same thing that I would email anyway.

What's the difference between emailing a PDF and sending a fax?

The sentimentality of hand writing a note is distasteful, in my opinion.

I knew a girl whose combination of initials plus university's fixed email address scheme left her with the official school email of "rapage@university.edu"

It was a super religious school too...

Ethan, you have some odd quirks. FWIW I would be favorably inclined if someone dropped off a hand written note, if it was nice stationary, well written, and the hand writing were legible. Much of business is about relationships and I would judge such a person had what it takes to build them.

I think it's a hypersensitivity to anything nostalgic from hating hipsters so much.

Takes a lotta energy to find something as innocuous as a note" distasteful " For reals?

Do hipsters write thank you notes?

Yes. On paper they made at home written with goose quills.

I think hand written is too far back for hipsters. They'd go with a letter from a typewriter.
