The girl I've started seeing does it all the time (particularily on fridays)...

although her job seems to entirely consist of telephone/web-based meetings so its not like she can just not do it...

I'll do it when I have work I need to get done at night or on the weekend...but during the week its straight to the office for me :)

it's normal for people who spend all their time on conference calls. 75% of my employees are out of the country anyway so I can easily spend all day working from home/on the phone and still be too busy to even eat lunch.

it really comes in handy if you want to work from let's say, Hawaii

Yeah, I only do it on Fridays after flying in the night before -- maybe once a month. It's really awesome when you just have a meeting or two to dial into but for getting actual work done?

Hell naw.

I have to be in an office environment to be productive. It's taken me HOURS to get something done at home that would have taken me 30 minutes at work, lol. I'm actually still not done with **** and I'm tempted to just do it on Sunday or on the plane Monday.. God. I could really use a ritalin or something right about now

BTW, OTC, sounds like things are going well with that chick. Is it the same girl you mentioned in the dating thread where you snapped a pic of a fireplace? lol

no. blackberry was in pocket of pants, pants were down and around my ankles.
god damn it people, the building shook and I came out here looking for sympathy for a semi-scary situation, not to imply that I pooped myself or got poop on myself or got poop on my blackbeery or poop on my iPhone (I was browsing twitter at the time) or was so startled that i jumped up and threw my blackberry into the toilet, etc. etc. etc.

at least you weren't fapping.

Working from home is the biggest scam ever.
How does anyone get any work done at home?
I sure haven't
I can't do it, and I've tried many times. Too many distractions and temptations.

I work from home most of the month, when I'm not traveling I only go into the office 2 days a month.

but I go every morning to a coffee shop near my house, come home for lunch, and go back in the afternoon. if I stayed at home I wouldn't get work done

I broke the dial (crown?) on my Omega Constellation last night. It was already in horrid shape because I had an accident a few years ago while wearing it and it suffered the equivalent of the thirty odd stitches I had on my face so its automatic mechanism loses time now. I'd love to get it repaired without sinking a thousand on it. My father gave it to me who received it from his father.

Did your father's friend smuggle it out of 'nam in his ass?

Lately I've been waking up at 7am on the ******* weekends.

All week long it's like dragging the dead out of bed at 7am, but come the weekend, up I am. I'm tired, just can't get back to sleep. **** me.

But that is actually good IMO. You get the most bang for your buck for Sat/Sun.
My alarm usually goes off at 5am during the week. Today, w/o the alarm, I was up at 5...ate bkfast not long ago....surfed the web a bit...heading out to swap my ****** Time Warner cable box...doing a little shopping and will be home by 12. I don't want to sleep until 10 on the wknd!!

Sleeping in until 7 on a weekend requires that I be out until about 2 a.m. the night before, and even then it's not a given. Most mornings it's 5 or maybe 6.

This a sign of impending old age. Take it from an old man.

No - as I recall, my grandfather gave it to my father when he went to university in the US. And after my father retired, he put it in a safety deposit box until my graduating year. Maybe I'll wait to see if I have a bonus this year and put that towards it - just reading on the Internet it's a pain to get Omegas repaired.

I wake up at 5:30 or so every morning with or without an alarm. Saturdays and Sundays I can get up, but I can't really sleep past 7:30 anymore. I just use a long nap on one of the weekends to make up for the sleep deficit. The only difference is if I'm on a bender and I get home at 3am or something.
