It really is. I've gotten into MMA so much more because of exactly this.

My boy Manny lost by unanimous decision to a guy dancing around in the ring :fu:

Seriously, that fight was boring as hell. I thought Manny had a decent lead up until the third round, but then everything kinda fell flat after.

I warned FB friends that casual boxing fans who had never seen Mayweather fight would be bored out of their minds after a few rounds. No one listened. I only watched the fight because a friend who lives two minutes away bought it at the last minute.

It's hard to appreciate Mayweather when you don't know what to look for.

It's hard to appreciate two fighters way past their prime making $100 million or so each. God bless them for their payday, and heaven knows I believe in market forces, but scenes like this blow my mind.

Sure past their prime but look at what Mayweather did to Canelo. Even though he is not what he once was he is still clearly better than everyone else in the world.

Kind of like going to your high school reunion and hooking up with the cheerleader you had a crush on who's seen better days, no? Combination of hype and satisfying your curiosity.

It's not that I don't know what to look for … the fight was almost exactly what I expected and like Ambulance, I just watched it at a friend's place. Floyd is a tactician and a defensive specialist and everyone knows that. Whether that translates into something that grows the sport and brings in casual fans is a different thing entirely. It was a fight par boiled in hot piss long after the sell by date had expired. There are similar issues in MMA when using ground and pound strategies… sure it works, it's effective, by my goodness it's about the dumbest thing I could ever watch (and I've studied various martial arts for years so I'm not just waving my dick around). Boxing has long-suffered from lack of an over-arching authority, various and differing state regulations and to be frank, a whole lotta bullshit going on behind the scenes.

If Floyd played baseball he'd be an eephus pitcher.

"F" shouldn't take that long to write.

That post is over a year old! (But since I have a memory like a elephant I remembered the context.)

When it comes to Mayweather's perfect record...does that include women too?
No, fights in self-defense don't count toward his record.

Hey I ain't gonna lie yes sometimes I do use my dryer as a storage mechanism just keep my socks and undergarmins in there till I need to wear them. If anyone don't like it hey you're free to pay rent organize things in a way more to your liking.

I can't abide leaving clothes in the dryer. When they're dry YOU TAKE THEM THE FUCK OUT! Dry clothes don't belong in the dryer, they belong in your chifforobe. Only wet clothes should be in your dryer and once they cease to be wet they need to be removed.

I'm sorry, L'incsy, you know I respect you, but you are wrong on this issue. The wrong side of history. The wrong side of common sense. The wrong side of little baby Jesus.
