Maybe it's because I wore plain toes instead of cap toes...

It's funny - all these things have actually been things that were making me sad or breaking my heart, but now with all of them happening together, I am actually really getting pissed off.

This is petty by the recent scope of this thread, but:

The ****** Closetmaid shelf/hanger system in my closet collapsed again. Third time, and I've added several additional struts and retaining pins to hold the damn thing in place. It just doesn't last, some kind of long term fatigue and it just dies eventually.

petty whine: people misusing 'curate'. YOU CAN'T CURATE A BLOG ENTRY.

also, two higher ups at my internship using my exhibit (which i've spent 2 months designing) as some sort of battlefield to wage a turf war.

Jeez, Douglas...hope brighter days are ahead. Appreciate your comments earlier about trying to take these bad events and becoming a better person from them....and taking more time to care for the people around us. I am striving to do the same.

My sister-in-law's sister that died...it is terribly tragic but it has been amazing to watch this huge outpouring of emotion at her passing. For all of the complaints about facebook, it has been the perfect medium for people to share their images and stories and total grief at her death. It has been really touching to read messages left to her after her death from people that wanted to reach out to her with a final word, or to share a happy memory...as well as the messages to her parents.

And this huge community of her friends (and strangers that have been touched by her story) have come together and donated money, organized meals and support for her family, they are putting together a book about her life that they can give to her kids for when they are older. She really was a special person that touched many people's lives in a strong and meaningful way. It makes me wonder if that my passing would bring forth such a strong reaction. I seriously doubt it.

Now I'm depressed because I don't think I could get 3 people to do some **** like that, not even in a completely superficial way on Facebook, much less in real life. Sounds like a hell of a woman.

I was going to ***** about contracts being cancelled but I just got a call from the house manager where my little brother with Downs lives. When they were out today he stated to tell her about incidents from 20 years ago as if it just happened and pointing to a house and telling her this where he lives. This threw her (and me) for six as the treating psychiatrist informed us that regressive behaviours like this was not expected so soon in terms of the progression of the dementia. :cloud:

Going to have to buy car tires soon; dammit they are expensive, of course all those lowest priced guaranteed car tire sales seem to have vanished right when I am shopping.
