Here's some of my examples.

1.)Jaleel White's elimination on Dancing with the Stars two nights ago instead of Melissa Gilbert, she can't dance!
2.)401, 403 (Forbidden), 404 (File Not Found, not Atlanta's area code), 500, and Cannot Find Server errors.
3.)Right click warning boxes on random websites when I right click something it saids "Sorry, Function Disabled" :brick: I had to complain to them and make a suggestion.
4.)Favorite TV programs preempted for something else.
5.)Favorite TV character gets killed off or an actor/actress leaving a show (for example Miriam McDonald leaving Degrassi)
6.)Satellite TV laws that you can't have out-of-market locals from New York City or Los Angeles ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX stations on satellite like DirecTV, instead you're forced to watch the locals where you reside in (for example watching Chicago, IL locals in Gary, Indiana because it's in their DMA), it's a FCC or STELA thing.
7.)Dangerous stunt TV commercials with "Do Not Attempt" disclaimers. Too common! Don't get me started with that woman suing McDonald's because she accidentally spilled hot coffee on her lap. Same story for "Professional Driver on Closed Course" on car ads, and "Actor Portrayal" on other ads.
8.)Product Displacement (getting too common these days) with product logos blurred out or covered with black tape (like DWTS for example).
9.)Favorite TV show gets canceled like my favorite Memphis Beat on TNT for example. That's why I'm sort of boycotting TNT by not watching much of that channel anymore. I didn't like it when they renewed those Cagney & Lacey wannabes Rizzoli and Isles for a 3rd season instead of Memphis Beat because the latter show had heart and great storylines and characters, I used to watch it religiously.
10.)Everybody hates censorship. End of story.

Get a Cow!

As for kids lying my son was told from a very early age that if you tell the truth you will not get in trouble. Did he ever listen. NO! (he is an only child) when we got the dog it was amazing the amount of things that the dog did most of which I had no idea that dogs were capable of doing. For example the dog could open the fridge and take out half a chocolate cake and eat it.

And don't worry the lies sadly become more complex when they become teenagers and just you wait for that first phone call from the police.:censored:

tl;dr. The DA of an unnamed county in North Texas is a dick.

I filed a Petition for Order of Nondisclosure (basically an Expunction of a criminal record) for a client of mine. The guy got busted in 1993 (when he was 17) breaking into a car with some of his friends, stealing cds and crap like that. He took deferred ajudication and finished his probation in 1995. Since then he's been a model citizen,; family, degree, grown-up job, hasn't even had a late fee on a traffic ticket. The law says that the Order of Nondisclosure can be filed 5 years after the dismissal of the case and discharge. The order didn't come down until 2009, probably due to mistake or laziness of the court's clerks, but was made retroactive to 1995. I filed the thing three weeks ago and got ready to drive 2 hours to some little bumfuck county seat to have the mandatory hearing. The ******* DA called me this afternoon at 4 to tell me they were objecting, because the order wasn't filed until 2009.

All the legalities aside, what kind of asshole thinks that the guy should continue to suffer for some teenage mischief from 19 years ago?

seems it's a day full of legal problems & I have one of my own. my mother is sole executor of my recently deceased grandmother's estate and all the adult children for 2 subsequent generations must sign away claims to the land we're selling. going over my copy while signing, I found more than a few errors. it was sent back and supposedly corrected and overnighted back today only to contain more errors of a different kind. my mom is driving me nuts asking me "this and that", and "what if?" since I'm the only one in the family with legal knowledge and now I've just found out that I'll have to drive out to my brother's place at about 1am to pick up his copy in order to overnight it to be sure it's in court on Mon. wtf are we paying these assholes $400 an hour for? JFC! :censored:

Remind him the goal of the law is rehabilitation and it would seem this guy is a successful case of that.

my ******* apartment has flooded again.

Luckily this time I was home to intervene and the water didn't make it outside of the kitchen. But still, wtf.

I guess this settles the question of whether I stay here for another year or decide to pony up and pay a lot more rent to live somewhere else come september...and by being home and actually observing wtf was going on, I should be able to prevent this from ever happening again with a little preventative action now that I know what was happening.
