I love the lines people draw to society and your career by using sports as reference. I am sure it holds weight in Psych 101, but ultimately I find it laughable because I'd rather spend time learning about actual society and work than some sort of silly illustrative derivative that serves no purpose in the world.
How are sports not actual society? You can't just disregard a huge part of culture because you are on a pseudo intellectual hipster tilt. I'd also like to point out that the greatest living American artist, Woody Allen, is a big Knicks fan.
