At least they emailed you. Most people just don't send you anything.

if only. in actuality i never back heard from them at all. at the end of the interview i asked explicitly what the process would be like from that point forward, and flat out asked them to keep me informed of whatever decision they made, as i had other considerations as well. i made that point very professionally and clearly. they happily agreed and promised to do so. of course they didnt. so after giving them ample time after the thanksgiving holiday weekend and still not hearing back i sent a brief and courteous email asking for follow up regarding my application.

the woman who headed the interview didnt even have the balls to email me back, despite the fact that i sent it directly to the email address she gave me, and i had been using to contact her through the process. instead i got some lamo-e HR person who replied to me. pathetic imo.

keep all your chins up, stitchy! :) something better will come up eventually- you a good, hardworking man.

lol thanks acid.

i would again like to thank all of you guys for your kind uplifting words and encouragement. i really do appreciate it, and it is just the pick me up that i needed. youre a swell bunch of fellows.

I have had a few drinks. My first in 2 weeks. And now, said alcohol is making me realize the plight of my joyless existence and the existential despair within which I wallow on an hourly basis. :foreveralone:

As is its habit, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has brought shame upon itself by not inducting KISS. I don't even know why that still pisses me off, but it does.

in my feeble attempt to better my eating habits i have not had any snapple type drinks for like 2 weeks. i caved today and had a large can of arizona honey green tea. and now i have been peeing all freaking day. :fu:
@ otc, sucks about the pot, but good idea about giving it away so its not totally wasted.

Nice work, Stitch. Making healthy habits is never a fun process. Stick with it, an the results will come along slowly.

Yeah, getting passed on to HR is pretty SOP. That way the HR people can use the legal approved language. This helps to ensure that the person who interviewed you doesn't say anything that would indicate that you weren't hired for reasons that would be illegal (age, race, etc.).

You need to join a co-ed beach volleyball league or something. Get your ass out of the house.

That said, I can totally understand/commiserate. Every once in a while we all need to tip a few back and have a good self loathing.

LOL

^We need to start a self-loathers support group.

"Hello, my name is Biggskip, and I self loathe when I drink."

"Hello, my name is Harvey, and I self loathe when I'm not drinking"

"Hello, my name is Rambo, and I self loathe, drinking or not drinking"

You have sweet tea and your plants. What more could you want? Also, what's up with you stealing Tagut's avatar? I thought that was him for a minute.

You are just experiencing something else new. The post-vacation return to real life. To one degree or another everyone gets this. It's the dark underside to a vacation.

Speak for yourself. I just contemplate how my life has turned out to far exceed expectations. :)

More money so I can: buy more plants, have a place to put them and drink more tea. Although free refills for like, 75 cents at the cafe at work is pretty freakin awesome. Sidenote: can the rest of the world get on this sweet tea thing? Thanks.

Also, what's up with you stealing Tagut's avatar? I thought that was him for a minute.

He was a jerk to me so I had to undermine the value of his Christmas time tradition.
