rough ******* day.
about 20 times a year I have customers come into our factory for a factory tour. I have a system, and it works exceptionally well. this week, because there is a trade show in Chicago (unrelated to us, but a lot of our customers come to the show) we have several differnt groups coming in. it makes for a busy week.
so, one distributor comes in with a group of 12 customers, and he wants to set up what we normally do in 8 hours, in 5 or so. I agree, but I remind him, literally 5 times, that the only way to do it would be for him to be carefull to keep everybody to the time table. I remind him that he isn't very good at sticking to a timetable, and I suggest that we cut out some of what we normally do, or that we not try to compress the time. he is adimant that he can keep his group to the timetable.
so, today his group gets in the limo to come out to our factory 40 minutes late, because he can't get them up from ******* breakfast. so, they run 40 minutes late all day, and I have to shift everything around all day, trying to get as much as possible into the day, salvaging the damage that they did. really fucked me over. just a huge pain **********.

Looks like you have to hand out a beating.

Your desk looks exactly like mine. Mass-produced cubicles, unite!

Totally. They are renovating our entire building and my floor is the last to get done. They are turning it into a "open" floor plan. That has its ups and downs...

That sounds...not awesome.

We just got new computers, and new monitors are hopefully coming today. :slayer:

Ugh, I have **** to do. Think I'll take a long lunch and then do a few minutes of work after that. And then watch the clock 'til 5PM!

We went to a friend's house for Thanksgiving. Each year, they host an "orphan Thanksgiving" for those of us who don't have any family in town. One of the friends who attended brought her stepmother along, which was cool, except for the fact that the stepmother decided to play with my year-old son for about an hour before informing everyone that she'd recently come down with a cold and was feeling pretty rough.

Lo and behold, about two days later my son was sick. About two days after that, MrsG was sick. Now it's two days after that, and I'm coming down sick.

As if there's not enough illness in my house with a kid still in his first year of daycare, now we're all feeling like crap because a full-grown adult didn't have the sense to stay the hell away from a baby when she's sick.

pissing me off. these stupid ******* speeding cameras. they are popping up every where. i understand the importance of safe driving, but to get a fine for driving 39 mph on a major street is bullshit.

who was back and who was forth?
BTW ed, you seem to be a nice guy but you've gone from being a posting failure to just being awful. Failure was funny, but some of the recent stuff I've read from you

That reminds me... I still have to follow through with that.
