I totally know what you mean and to some extent I am. I am actively looking for a new opportunity and in the meantime I have been very involved in my daughters soccer teams, which have taken up an enormous amount of time. The underlying issue for me is I am actively being punished. They have taken every shit responsibility that they can't put on someone else and dumped it on my desk. I have gone from running the day to day show to being the grunt that does all the work. And, I am certain that this is being done on purpose (others in the office agree and have even mentioned it to HR). It seems as if they are trying to see how much shit I'll take before I leave. This combined with watching my boss prove daily that he has no idea what is is doing makes for a very miserable working experience.
I am also fairly certain that when the dust settles and they get things straightened out and some vacant positions are filled they will suddenly no longer need my services. I am trying to find a new opportunity before that happens but I haven't had much luck so far.
For now I just have to keep plugging along.
