Thanks man. It's not hard to do it. All you have to do is decide. It's just hard to stick with it when you get your ass handed to you so many times. But I think it's worth it.

Sounds like you are really fucked. Now you must give the full deets.

I needed some new jeans, so ordered a pair of EPs.

They were out of the length I ordered so sent some that were 2" longer. When I asked if it was a mistake they confirmed that they were out of the shorter length and suggested I get them hemmed or just roll them up. Well, that was $20 I wasn't expecting to have to pay.

I just picked them up from my tailor, who is usually pretty good for minor alterations. Since I am such a loyal customer, they pressed some really knife-sharp razor creases into my new jeans at no extra cost.

my sister's dad (were half siblings), they think, is about to die. I'm really not sure what to say or do for her. She lives in NV and is apparently losing it. I just tried calling her and no answer.

My flight home got cancelled. What a clusterfucking procedure that is. flying is not bad enough as it is, without having to deal with this ****. Now I have a 550am flight, which means I have to be in the lobby at 4fucking am or earlier to go back to the airport. **** philly.

Now I feel like such a dick for venting my petty rant in this thread. I hope your sister is doing ok.

damnit damnit damnit!!! I'm a failure as a father!

I have the same issue. Our tooth fairy usually gives out dollar coins, and the tooth fairy's supplier has been distracted.

I tell the young ones that the tooth fairy can be erratic because the stars have to line up in a certain way.

So I also spoke to my brother who is as stoic and unsentimental as they come. I wasn't too worried about him (for lack of a better word) because of that but it turns out, losing his father has really shaken him up. It takes a lot for him just to relax and laugh and I heard him cry. He also said his dad probably wasn't going to live past tonight. I was kind of expecting him to be the rock right now but that isn't going to happen.

My mother is visibly upset and incredibly disturbed because her children are suffering right now, my dad is out of the country and I also get the sense he's probably not the most comforting of people at times like this.

I'm kind of gathering that I'm going to be the one my siblings turn to right now. I'm so ******* clueless and scared for them and I really just wish I knew what to do for them and my mother. While I never met their dad (there was no reason, he lived on the west coast etc) I still know a fair bit about him and he's my brother and sister's father.

I lost the two grandparents I actually had a relationship with when I was too young to realize what was happening. This is the closest loss I've ever had to deal with.

The people I was hoping to count on and be with tomorrow aren't in town or can't be with me which also pisses me the **** off to no extent.

And last weekend when my sibling's father had the opp that led to this, my sister went to see him in the hospital and couldn't even be with him.

I just don't know what to do at all.

Good luck Ed.

So I called down to the management office today to get an update. They actually had the balls to say to me "we'll give you another month to get out and we'll drop the charges. That ok?" No that's not ******* ok. Going to see a lawyer tomorrow to get some advice.

jeesh Ed, good luck with that. seriously, you're a good man to even take responsibility with your siblings, and you might seem lost in what to do right now, but I have a feeling all they'll need is your support and you'll be there anyways and will know what to do.

Hope things work out, Edina. These things become more common as we age.

Edit: At Starbuck's, next in line to hit the cashier. Helper guy asks me if I want my usual. I nod my head, "Yes." Customer at cashier steps away, wench on cell phone walks right in front of me and orders. Cashier is looking at me. I tap her on the shoulder and say, "If you hung up your cell phone, you'd realize you just walked in front of someone." She says, "Don't worry," and starts talking on the phone again and tries to continue her order! So I say, "Nice try," and just stepped in front of her.

She got mad. WTF?
