I haven't looked too hard, since I've moved downtown I could probably find a place. What about the 40 somethings I pay to Brazilian wax the goodies?

there are examples of great service out there.

Singapore seems to rate at the top of most frequent flyer lists and I concur - they are still [thankfully] old-fashioned enough to have very pretty "stewardessess" and they are referred to as such. Meals and drink on Singapore are unparalleled in presentation and quality. As close as one gets these days to the offerings on the lamented Concorde. One is always in a "smiley" state of mind. Cathay is a close second.
Surprisingly - Air Canada is not too bad either with the major upgrade in their executive first cabins - they now have private "pod" seating arranged in a herringbone pattern with a full flatbed service, widescreen LCD screens and "mood/atmosphere lighting" of all things to assist in creating an easy transition of different times of the day and evening. The passenger literally has a full 7 feet of personal space in full recline, in a semi-private enclosure. Meals not bad either: Whether by fluke or just a good butter day - Croissants for breakfast on the way to Paris were among the best I've ever had and matched those of any great boulangerie of the destination city. Maybe because AC is a Montreal-based organization. So the French attitude must have something to do with it?

Smoker alert: There is a fellow in (Germany) who has launched an all "first class" smoking airline called "Smintair" but I've heard little about it recently... But what a niche market to tap into!

How is Song airlines? Are they even still around? I thought I saw a terminal at LAX for them a couple months ago. They got bought by Delta, but are they anything special?

Someone mentioned something about Greyhound. While it is nicer than you'd expect, I have seen more fights break out on greyhounds than anywhere else. When I used to not have a car, I used to take Greyhound all over NorCal. It is a rather slow way of getting around, however, given the dirtiness of the average client, they are surprisingly clean and comfortable.

Duh. I just didn't want anyone to think I'd hit Mike Seever or whateverthef**k his name was.

They're gone, they were a more "premium" part of Delta that was eventually stopped.

Defunct too, I believe. Don't think they lasted into 2007... Interesting fact: "Song Airline's" launch (incredibly) happened on an episode of the "Apprentice" with "Martha Stewart". The competitor teams challenge was to come up with some sort of ad campaign. I think the idea was that you could "fly on a nice airline for just a song". It's a good thing, y' know.

No, they were the low-cost airline Delta launched to compete with Jetblue and that they have since discontinued.

It seems like they were trying to be a contender with the likes of "Jet Blue" - which as you probably already know, is still [even with the delay disaster last fall] considered one of the favourites of the low-cost jet-setter. Perhaps Southwest would be their only rival.

It was great watching her grow into a teenage hottie on TV.

The Seaver sister was blah but the mom was a MILF! Remember when Leo DiCaprio was on that show at the end?

Air Canada is doing this as well? I remember Emirates had a sort of spherical pod. Air Canada traditionally has been really bad in 1st and business. I'm surprised to hear they're better now.
