I was under the impression that a paper for my history class was due this Thursday. I just checked the syllabus and it is due Tuesday. I also have an exam tomorrow.

It was on old arbitartion. Contract was terminated by a housing society in 1993 and thereafetr 2 arbitrators were appointed. After 7 years of hearign before the arbitrators the 2 of them differed and referred the case to the Umpire. The Umpire gave an award of around 60000 USD and 15% interest from 1993 to the date of payment. The socirty chose to appeal in the Delhi High Court. After 7 years in the Delhi HC upheld the entire award except for the interest part. It said legal case had taken too long and since it is a co-operative society they should pay interest @5% instead of 15% for the past 16 years.

I just had to draft a letter of support for a person requesting a grant. This person sent me a couple of paragraphs and asked me to get it on letterhead, etc. Well, I laughed when I read it. There were so many grammatical and factual errors. I honestly thought it was written by a middle school student. But this person has a Ph.D.
