However, an interview process which is over a month is never, ever a good sign, especially in this economy. And I speak from personal experience.

ugh, sorry to hear that. Hope you were looking to change jobs, as opposed to unemployed and looking for a job. either way, best of luck.

Thanks

Yeah, I agree. I prefer the interview process that is over within two weeks. However, I figured with the current economy, the employer could take their time with a good crop of candidates.

I am currently employed and was hoping to change jobs so you are right, it could be worse. However, this job was the exact segment of the industry I had been hoping to join for some time, so the outcome was very tough to swallow. Hope I will get them next time.

That we are twice as likely to be pissed off about something than happy about something based on the post count in this thread compared to the "Things that are making you happy" thread.

i think i have an explanation for that though. they say something like you treat your customer right, they will tell one other person about your business, you treat them wrong, and they will tell ten others about your business. something like that. we have a tendency to talk more about our gripes because it lets off steam and it is sometimes fun to talk about it. happiness talk usually is just self centered comes across as that. i dont know.

Actually, the "Pissing you off" thread had a year's head start on the "happy" thread.

But sho'nuff also has a point in that when have to let off steam more than we like to spout our happy moments.

I cannot find a way to end my essay. Should I end on a humorous note? A sombre one?
