(...)
the thing is, we have only gotten feedback from this one class - my daughters have been in frameworks for 3 years, they also do a half dozen extra-curricular activities, and campls, and we haven't had any simialr feedback before. adn there are two teachers, but I can see that one of them is driving the idea, and the other one looks uncomfortable. so, while I am not dismissing it, I am not wholeheartily embracing it, either.
to top the whole ******* thing off, it turns out that she has pneumonia, and could have had it for 2 months, so all the problems she has been having this year could be a result of her being sick and irritable. so, it pisses me off even more that the first thing the teacher thinks about is that she is crazy.

Z, I hope your daughter's pneumonia and teacher issues clear up soon.

Given the pattern you'd mentioned earlier, I'd think it's a teacher issue, particularly - as with my son - it gets compounded when you have a weak personality at the helm. My son is well-behaved around stronger people, but he runs right over weaker teachers/counselors, etc. Unfortunately, the weaker ones are the first to label students as 'rowdy, ADHD, sociopathic, ODD, etc'

serious question about run flats.... if they continue to run, how do you know you would have had a flat and that you need to change your tires?

Usually you have a pressure sensor in the tire. Those, BTW, run about $70 to replace when you break one, as I found out a couple of weeks back. :(

BMWs have an internal sensor that monitors tire pressure and lights up on your dash to let you know. Even run flats experience a loss of pressure in the event of a puncture.

EDIT - Thomas beat me to it.

My sensor used to not tell me WHICH tire was flat, and it could also get a little buggy in the cold, lighting up a false positive. So in the dead of winter I'd be getting ready to go to work in the morning and suddenly I'm outside with the wind whipping around me in my own driveway unscrewing all four valve caps and checking the pressures to see which of my tires was flat, if any, getting brake dust all over my fingers etc etc.

Not sure what happened, but now it tells me which tire is flat. Firmware upgrade, I guess? Seems stupid that the car would have had that capability but not used it initially.

Another point in favor of regular tires.

My current ride does not try and take the air pressure until several minutes after you get driving if the temps are cool/cold. I can also toggle a display on my dash with a little picture of the vehicle and the actual air pressure in each tire in PSI. If one is off kilter it lights up in red. I have to say the electronics are pretty cool.

thanks, T, yeah, that is my feeling. my son is old enough to understand how to act with different types of adults, this girl is 5, its hard to expect her to be able to navigate stupid weak adults yet.

I don't think it bad for her to have some outside guidance in dealing with these issues, but I hate the labeling and the attitude.

Your store doesn't advertise? Ads should have already been placed announcing store hours and what's on sale. Your bosses don't seem to know how to optimize sales. :confusing:

i have been sitting here pondering how to really answer this question. this company is so poorly run in so many ways i dont know how it makes money. but it does. i sit here collecting money all day for these ***** selling their ****. they definitely advertise, i think they spent close to 100k for black friday, in print, tv and maybe radio. but since im not the target audience its not something i see or hear, and since they dont send any memos or have in store promotional signs i have no idea what the fock is happening.

i usually find out about sales when a customer comes in with a flyer from the mail. its sad, but true. i have called and texted my bosses numerous times trying to find out what is happening but no one has replied. apparently im supposed to figure out on my own what time to open up shop, more than likely ill get a text thurday night.

the only thing they know how to optomize is lining their pockets, but employee happiness, convenience and conditions is not one of their concerns. asshats the lot of 'em.
