Going to NYC May 7 - 11... Seeing Woody Allen and Book of Mormon... What else should I do?

I'm headed to New York for four days in May. I'm seeing Woody Allen perform at the Carlyle, and I'm seeing the Book of Mormon on Broadway, but besides that I have no fixed plans.

I haven't booked a hotel yet, I'm going to try using priceline.com for the first time.

I've been to NYC five or six times, most recently in 2010, and I've done most of the touristy things. Any suggestions for cool new things to see would be appreciated! I'm very much into film, standup comedy, and would be interested in any cool art exhibits.

I'm not a seafood eater, or a foodie, but I'm also up for trying any other cool new restaurants.

Thanks!

If you're Asian and have a preteen daughter and Woody wants to adopt her, say no.

Have you ever met an Asian named Bob?

Have you ever met a Caucasian named Woody? (besides Allen, Guthrie or Harrelson)

I went to NYC in mid-March, staying at the Hilton on Avenue of the Americas. I was not impressed in the least. The companion I went with is a professional musician who has worked for them in some of their nicer hotels worldwide, and she is totally unimpressed (she has also worked for Ritz-Carlton worldwide, as well).

If you are looking for some interesting things to do, I would suggest a trip a trip to the Blue Note Jazz Club if you like jazz, and for artsy types of things, try the Metropolitan Museum of Art, even if you have been. You will find something interesting. An amazing place! We went to see Jesus Christ Superstar. It was good, but I liked the Blue Note better. Took a helicopter tour of Manhattan, which was fun. Also went on a pedal cab tour of Central Park, also fun. And if you are into opera, definitely go to the Met.

Hope you have fun!

I'd check out the 9/11 memorial and I'd visit the Levain Bakery in upper west side.
