My mother made this a few times growing up, what does that say about us?

Tuna and mayonnaise on butterfly crackers with an ice cold glass of milk. Heaven.

At one time my god fearing mother had me believing this was a special occasion dish. I judged it quite tasty and something to look forward to and savor.

take mashed potatoes. add tuna and some scallions. form them into patties and fry in a pan with butter until the outsides are brown. serve with either a spicy mayonaise or dijon mustard.

Sauté a teaspoon of crushed garlic in some olive oil until golden brown
Add a couple tablespoon of minced onions, add half cup of crushed tomatoes
Add a can of tuna, juices and all. Let it simmer a few minutes while mixing
Add cooked linguini, salt and pepper to taste
Finally add one egg yolk only and mix until the yolk gets cooked
And eat

While probably not the popular choice, I find mixing it with freshly cracked pepper and light mayo to be just about right and obviously simple. I'll even throw in some chipped leaves to get a few veggies in my diet.

Otherwise, I like to throw it in with macaroni and cheese... tuna mac!
