I don't anyone would mind seeing that. Silver is definitely my preference for tea and coffee, I have my barware on a lacquered tray and enjoy that as well. I grew up in a house with many tchockies, so I try my best to minimize useless objects around the house. In this case I think a well curated assortment would look nice and have the area look a bit more interesting or lived in.
Some of us who are married or are about to be married may find it nearly impossible to have a shelf, table or cabinet free of objects, so I do find it enjoyable when they are good quality crystal, silver or actually serve purpose.
