This phone was bought in Hong Kong so its unlocked and you're free to do anything with it. No contract required. You can even set it up as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. It will work with AT&T 3G, HSPA bands, no problem, I'm using a black one on AT&T now. But only Edge on T-Mobile.
In my opinion, it's better than what Apple current has to offer. Big beautiful screen, unlimited customization, third party apps and roms, light, thin, and powerful.
The phone has never been turned on, nor has it ever had a SIM in it.
