It's a temporary solution but it's working so well I haven't really felt the need to actually get the sleeves shortened.

The jacket itself is somewhat technical (it's not Ten-C), and I'm not sure whether the tailor would have the tools to do it justice.

There's no sticky residue.

You wouldn't be able to do that on the Ten C IMO, as the material is on the stiff side, plus it's pretty thick, so it would definitely look weird.

 

I wouldn't risk tailoring it, better to buy the proper size. If you're not extremely wide or thin, I don't see a problem with the Ten C's fit for majority of people.

hendrix you'd probably like the fit of the field as it's a little boxy or the parka which is on the large size.

I have a Navy Field Jacket in 50 with the liner, used but in excellent condition from ebay and doesn't fit quite right.

It will be going into Classifieds over the weekend but if you're interested shoot me a PM and I'll send some pics, etc.

@smashwindow below: I initially got size 44 according to how I wear my EG, but while the sleeves were right, it was quite tight in the chest and shoulder, so I got a 46 instead (This one doesn't have the red stamp inside though.. ). It IS tts and if you have broad shoulder & chest, I think you might even consider sizing up!

Anyone picking up the shearling liner? I have the quilted one which I will never end up using, but the shearling one definitely looks good.

Why don't you use quilted one? Is it warm enough for cold weather?

 

I have tried the shearling one in Italy, quality, but too expensive. I've seen on the net that there are padded liners available as well, but didn't see one in flesh.

I just don't like liners really - the shearling one looks better to me since it is a jacket on its own... Maybe I will just stick with the quilted one though - I didn't realize the shearling was only on the front - which makes it completely too expensive.

akatsuki the liner is quite thin so you don't really notice and it doesn't move around inside the jacket if it's button up, just remember to button up the sleeves too.

which ten c jacket have you got?

Fishtail... So far I love it. The fabric is amazing.
