Are these garments really worth the price?

If only I was wide and long enough to pull of a ten c smock!

ugh.

And if they are worth the price, can someone comment on how the fabric ages

They're actually worth exactly 28.7% more than their listed price. Some people find this surprising, but it's true.

First of all. I enjoy your blog.

I get that it's subjective and all that, but I was just wondering as they are priced quite high. I love the idea of having a few of their jackets and the liner so you can use them year round.

I already have too many field jackets though. Alpha, Aspesi and Patrick Ervell.

Huh. I assumed sf user and the blogger are two different people.

Anyways, you won't be wearing the jacket all year round. I have a wind jacket that I can wear from Spring-Summer and snow smock which gets wear in Fall- Winter. They are made of same fabric but for some reason I find the latter pretty warm. Maybe its the sleeve lining?

Go and see what you can pick up at your Army Surplus and then ask "are they really worth the price"?

you won't find that fabric at army surplus

I've felt the fabric once in person, and it felt awesome, very rugged. However I was a little disappointed when I found out how quick it looses its water repellence and how fast it wears down.

Union LA has all their Ten C on sale at this moment

For the people who have actually owned a jacket by Ten C recently, can you comment on how the fabric ages

so explain what makes the fabric so special and makes the jacket worth £800? from what I've seen and what I've read on this forum it's over-hyped and over-priced and can look like a dogs dinner after a few months of wear.

The fabric feels sorta of rubbery cotton. I'm surprise it wears so fast. If it didn't i would for sure get one.
