Where To Buy Shirt Fabrics?

I'm trying to find a company that makes a red gingham shirt fabric similar to the picture below.

My shirtmaker doesn't stock a similar pattern, but is more than happy to make me up a shirt from a fabric supplied by me.

I've found a couple of possibles from Acorn, but I'm wondering what other companies are out there that you would recommend. I only need enough for one shirt, so it would need to sell by the metre.

http://www.tailorstore.co.uk/tailor-made-shirts

They won't sell the fabric, but they will gladly make you an outstanding shirt. They have three different sized red gingham fabrics, Lorca, Pombal and Montijo.

I've tried many many online tailors, tailorstore and proper cloth are the only ones I frequently return to, though. They both always satisfied my needs completely.

Contact sf user Badsha - he sells fabric from SEC Tess, Grandi & Rubinelli, and Alumo by the meter, so you've got a decent shot at finding this gingham. Nice fabric, btw. I'd like to know what you find - I'd love to find this in purple.

Though no red gingham, there are some fantastic fabrics over at http://www.bonfantitessuti.it. See this thread for more.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys.

clapeyron - I've had a look at that website. It looks really good, but I really want to use my shirtmaker. The fabrics do look great. What a shame they don't sell it!

The picture I posted is from Harvie & Hudson's website. They currently only offer this fabric made to measure. Anyone know where H & H get their fabrics from?

Harvie Hudson uses Acorn if I'm not mistaken.I was told by their sales assistant in their Jermyn Street shop.

Thanks for that. The more I look into it, the more the name Acorn seems to keep coming up. I'll get in contact with them and see if I can get hold of a few samples.

Looks to me like Acorn King range AQ Red.

A place like Hobby Lobby , highstreetlabels and JoAnn Fabrics , and be sure you get their discount, if it is not already on sale. If I don't have a coupon I just ask if they have a discount when I check out. And they are on line too.

I've just emailed Acorn for a few samples of their fabrics, Including the King AQ Red. I look forward to seeing what they look like.

Thanks for all the other suggestions. I'll check out some of the other websites/companies named.
