In the interest of improving my health and losing weight, I've decided to go (mostly) vegetarian. This is day five and I feel great: not bloated, not experiencing the post-lunch crash. It's going to be a challenge to maintain this but I want to do so for as long as I can.

There will be cheat meals...the occasional bacon cheeseburger, I think. And some fish here and there. But I plan to stick with plants, whole grains, legumes, and limited amounts of eggs and cheese. Consider this official notice of my journey to healthland! :bigstar:

Can you consolidate all of these threads into one? Perhaps call it Conne's Adventures with Sergeant Fatbody.

I've seen maybe three photos of you, and I remember thinking how much fatter you looked in the last one.

Also, not sure that replacing fish and chicken with cheese and grains will necessarily improve your health or make you lose weight.

You'd be better off replacing those donuts and desserts with chicken and fish.

Never understood people becoming vegetarian for health reasons, oh noez chicken and fish is so unhealthy will eat **** loads of carbs instead and neglect a macronutrient. Good luck with your muscle wastage goals of 2012. Only reason I can think of for doing it i you don't like killing animals.

You're a little late. Lent is almost over. Heathen.

Ignore the protein nerds unless you're training for something.

Congrats Conne. My food consumption has also become more and more vegetable and fruit centric. Today I ate raw broccoli, carrots, cucumber, peanut butter and avocado. As a result, my energy level has increased.

Another bonus is decreased appetite for shiity food. I tried eating a chicken nugget but spit it out after just a few bites

Connie - you have the perfect appearance to be a vegetarian. Embrace it.
