The difference is essentially less silk used in a 3 fold due to less folds used, and the back tends to have the slip stitch sewn a lot lower on 3 folds, which honestly makes little difference at all, it's usually just higher on 7 folds so you can actually see the folds at the back. And because many of my clients are guys that wear ties because they want to, not because they have to, then the 7 fold is something special and a little more luxurious, while still at really quite a good price point.

The one pictured is black but there is a forest green coming as well. Thanks for posting, that was definitely the most popular woolen tie out of last winters stuff, and there will be a bunch more patterns this coming march/April.

A tip with the knotting, I really make the dimensions of my ties to be tied with a four in hand, so perhaps try that and you will get a more proportionate knot which will sit up in to the collar cleaner as well and have a better chance at a nice dimple.

Some good news from Italy, we will be getting a small run of the new grenadines (5 of each colour) along with bulk stock of the irish linen pocket squares in about 3 weeks. More stock will then follow late March with next seasons designs.
