I was only running 150-200 mf on the goblins. Nothing outstanding at all.

I like the crit damage bow a lot. Put sharpshooter back up...I know it's inflated and stupid, but I love seeing the [almost] 100k DPS number from it. I probably would have kept the socketed bow (which is probably objectively better) if I had a perfect gem to put in it...but I just didn't want to bother trolling the AH for a week until I sold enough gear to fund a radiant star.

edit: If the bow I sold was worth like 200 mil, please don't tell me about it.

Why not make your own perfect gems? Seems like it just costs gold + the prerequisite gem

It was worth what you sold it for...just because people are shit crazy and list things for $ that will never sell doesn't mean its the "market".

Anything above star requires recipes.

Do you need gear? Shoot me a PM with your ID and I'll take a look at what you have sometime. I save most 60-62 rares that have decent mods to help my friends that just started...I don't mind dropping a few things your way at all.
It requires a plan and, like, $17m gold. I think the pgems go for like 20-30m gold in the AH. Before I sold the bow, I only had like 85k in stash. I probably should have kept the socketed bow and just waited until I could afford a radiant star but...oh well. I'm playing this game pretty casually (and I especially hate spending time in the AH).

As indicated by many of my posts in this thread, I'm totally unqualified to speculate on the D3 market...but anyways....I think this new hotfix drop rates are going to make AH prices plummet for rares--but not set items and crafting mats--but not tomes. There are going to be so many more 61/62/63 items floating around next week it's going to be crazy. If I were investing in anything on the AH today, it would be high quality set pieces. (since the drop quality didn't go up...only the rates)

I have a 60 barn stuck on act 1 inferno and lvl 37 wizard act 2 nightmare.

Let me know who you are in your message to me. I can probably do a few Act 1 runs with your barb like I did with GetToasty--we should have him geared for at least act 2 within a day or two.

What is the proper etiquette in joining games?

Whenever I see Nerdykarim on I want to just join his game but find it may be bad manner to do so / disruptive

I typically ask people first, but feel free to hop into my games whenever you want...especially if I'm farming act 1.

Recently, I've just been doing goblins so I create a new game every 30 seconds or so. If you joined my game, I'd probably be gone by the time you got in.

LOVE the new drops rates. I almost always have the worst luck in games..but finally, I found a replacement for my weapon!

Well, my gear is not great but I still have 1 and a quarter levels to go before I hit 60 and I probably won't be able to play until at least the weekend after the 4th....but its only like an evening's play to get me there.

I've just been saving and not upgrading things until I hit 60 since it seems like a waste of money.

I'm out of town all weekend, so that works for me as well. When you get to 60, we can farm Act 1 with whoever else needs basic inferno gear.

IMO I think Blizzard has this all planned from the beginning. Really feeling a lot more like D2 the way they are curving the game
