Edit: running 15k unbuffed actually.

Running around with 16K DPS, 25K HP, 1500-600ish Dex, 5K Armour, 480-500ish Resist, 60% Dodge

Fist of Thunder + Lightning Flash (dodge)
Blinding Flash + Searing Light (Elite Miss)
Serenity + Peaceful Repose (Heal)
7 Sided Strike + Pandemonium (Stun)
Dashing Strike + Quicksilver (Reduce Spirit Cost)
Mantra of Evasion + Hard Target (+ Armour)

Resolve
Guardian's Path
One With Everything.

Use to have about 1K Life on Hit with old weapons but eventually found them rather pointless because of low dps (they were like 400DPS a piece) and how bosses pretty much 1 or 2hit kills regardless anyway. So I only have the negligible 150 odd hp regen per sec now.

Wizzy

35k DPS
18K HP
300+ RES

Mowing down ACT1 Inferno for the most part

Just item finding right now so it is pretty chill

though extremely tedious and repetitive, goblin farming is better than a1 farming, ime. tried both with 200 mf (275 with 5 stacks) and the number of shitty ilvl 50-60 rares that drop in a1 made it completely not worthwhile.

i'm doing it partially for the gold for gemming

Hm, I would get myself an Earth Ally to help boost your HP a bit. If you're really having that hard of a time, I would sword and board. It'll help boost your res and keep you alive. IMHO, thunderclap is better and try sweeping wind. It'll help boost your DPS. smile.gif

So I switched over from A2 to A1 just for fun. Typically, I find 1x ilvl63, ~3 ilvl62, and ~6 ilvl61 items per run. Full run takes me 40 minutes and I get a full stash tab full of rares.

basically, you farm easy to reach goblins with mf gear on. there are two waypoints that have easy access to relatively common goblin: road to alcarnus and ancient path. this is easiest to do on a dh because sometimes you will need to smoke screen to get past the goblin to clear the area around it just in case it runs away AND you can keep it in place with caltrops + torturous ground. i can kill them with my mf gear on for the entire thing, but a lot of people switch right at the end. i'm kind of slow at that and it's a hassle to do every time, so i just keep my mf gear on. i have about 25k dps and 200 mf.

if you're gold farming, the cellar in a1 is much better with a lot of gold find.

in other news...can someone please help me get path iskatu in inferno >:

what is best primary and secondary attacks for monk? I have a level 42.
if you're lvl 42 you can get away with whatever is most fun for you at the time as all skills are still viable. nifty little trick with monk spirit charging attacks: each generator has 3 animations. single punch, several punches, rune effect strike. if you have more than one generating attack - which you should if you still can because combination strike is fun - the game will "charge up" both attacks to the third animation even if you've only used one.

in other words, you can do the first two attack animations (punch, several punches) with your 1st generator and then use your 2nd generator for the 3rd and final "rune" strike. this is very useful as you can use something very fast, like way of a hundred fists to "charge up" and then use something slower and more powerful like cripping wave for the 3rd strike. this essentially takes the downside out of the slowness of crippling wave and opens up all kinds of cool skill combos.

in my mind the only skill that is absolutely necessary pre-inferno is exploding palm/essence burn. that skill is so damn good you should never, ever take it off. i was a big fan of hundred fists with whatever rune on my leftclick and either deadly reach with piercing trident or crippling wave with whatever rune on my rightclick. piercing trident is awesome despite being a lvl 9 skill and will allow you to kite the shit out of big mobs with its huge range. once you tag a few guys with essence burn, you will set off crazy chain reaction explosions with deadly reach no problem.

if you're still lower level, try to abuse your tankiness for as long as possible - cyclone strike + dashing wind + wave of light/explosive light is a great crowd smasher. unfortunately cyclone strike becomes suicide strike the closer you get to inferno, so enjoy it while it lasts.

This is my current monk inferno build, when playing with others. Glass cannons absolutely love me since I can tank almost anything in A1 (and pretty well after that too). Last night a pack of illusionist/arcane/frozen/desecrator couldn't touch me. satisfied.gif Just hit dashing strike ahead of every freeze, and keep keen eye going. Invincible.

I'm now at a place with my DH where I'm having to spend millions to get small tweaks to my setup.

Focused on getting:

~200 all resist (275+ poison) - 75 current (can anyone opine on what the optimal level is to avoid ghey one shots?)
34k HP - 37k current
3200+ armor - 3450 current
1500+ dex - 1575 current
200% crit dmg - 220% current
20% crit chance - 11.5% current
38k+ dps w/o sharpshooter - ~40K current
2.00 aps - 1.96 current

Right now I'm trying to swap all resist for life and crit chance for crit dmg and dex.

Also would love to add chance to immobilize on hit with pants in addition to my freeze on hit with my belt - these come in handy in act 3 / 4 elite packs.

i have it... you want it? ikatsu is a breeze on inferno as DH... you just need 12% move speed and drop caltrops the entire fight.

if i remember correctly, in act 3, it's just better to go full glass cannon because your DPS takes too much of a hit for a "maybe" one shot...
- you just gotta remember how to doge the spears and fast fireballs.

is goblin farming still viable for getting high level rares? i'm having trouble finding good farm spots for rares...
