Attack speed nerf? Might as well abandon my Monk now. I pretty much rely on my monk doing 2.5+ attacks per second to generate enough health to keep up with damage taken in Inferno Act 1. Probably get slaughtered if all the my AS items get nerf.

Inferno Act 1? You don't really need that aps to survive. Even through Act 3, I'm farming Siegebreaker with a 5 stack with 2.13 aps and no LoH. And I'm only using three IAS pieces. Honestly, as long as it's above 2 aps, it is enough to fuel all of your defensive skills and then some, once your cds are done. Even after the nerf, I'm sure you can boost APS back up using 5-6 IAS pieces.

I am really curious to see how life steal is going to work out as it will ramp up with better end-game items. On top of that, it scales with AoE. I might start buying items with that attribute because it seems like it'll be the next big thing. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

i am pretty much locked into using hundred fists + 15% chance for 15 spirit regen on activation rune. dont need to worry about spirit that much with it, but i really only use breath of life + serenity + exploding palm otherwise.

I have a jewelers crafting recipe for the highest level of topaz, and now that the commodity AH is back up I'm wondering if I should sell it... patch[1].gif They go for just under 2 mil a piece at the moment, and the only reason I can see for keeping it is the possibility of making more gold than that buying level 13 on the AH, craft into 14s, re-sell for more than the cost for three 13s + all the gold to craft it. Do you guys think I can get a margin on that that makes it worth keeping the recipe?

 

Oh, and lvl 13s are 6,9 million at the AH at the moment, with no lvl 14s available.

They aren't changing the crafting costs at the highest levels - I say keep it and craft them.

On a related topic - now that they are making act ii - iv inferno more player friendly and aren't stacking hp and dmg in co-op I'd suggest selling quality items while AH prices are inflated. Once more ppl have access to the higher parts of the game the AH will be flooded with good stuff at lower prices. The only exception would be legendary items which hopefully are buffed retroactively, as I've heard, in 1.4.

Legendaries aren't being changed retroactively. Sell the crappy ones while you still can!

Damn really? I just bought inna's glory and blessing but the stats are still good. Don't feel like I overpaid for them - $1mm for pants, $799k for belt.

Can't remember, but the only thing I've been doing really is Butcher and chest runs in A3, so one of those.

I've been upgrading my gear but act 2 is still impossible at points - the snake men fuck me up nearly every time.

I'm still not sure I understand how the market for gems is going to turn out.

Since you can pull them from your items, there are only so many open socket slots, and you can only have so many characters, there is a finite demand for top tier gems. At a certain point, you will have a handful of each gem and never need to buy another.

Maybe it will matter more in the hardcore market where deaths remove items from the game...

Blizz have stated that they like the idea of using gems to craft, so that's a probable future sink.

This doesn't make any sense to me, especially given the AH. How is someone going to know post 1.03 that my pants are pre-or-post the patch if its a bug fix (as least as it pertains to inna's glory where the ias doesn't stack)?
