I actually did every set except for 2 with 10 or more. Actually, for the first set, I cranked out 15, and could have gone further, but I did not want to go to exhaustion, since it would make getting to 100 a lot harder.
For dopey - I think that it's just a matter of practice, like everything else. Manton can attest to the fact that I'm pretty average build (though probably a full size or two bigger than most SWD people,) and I'm definitely carrying about 10 extra lbs (charitably). I've just been doing them for a couple of decades, and all of my strength and conditioning is geared towards that type of activity.
