tried getting an exchange today but they did the usual Korean shuffle and avoid maneuver, had me upgrade to 6.1 and did yet another restore. It died on the way home and I'm recharging all the way to 100% now and I'll see how it goes the next couple days. One of the biggest problems is that it loses all this power on standby, I just can't believe how shitty the battery life is on this thing. My 4S can chill on standby for days without losing a drop of power. The 5 is dead by the morning.

I'm on 6.0.2 and lose about 2-3% overnight with 3G on.

I've been hearing a lot of complaints about the 5 battery life recently, but I have no issues at all. I can fall asleep with it on 10% battery life and still have my morning alarm go off no problem.

It still would be prudent if apple forced your morning alarm to go off when it get's to 1% just to keep it real.

Man you guys got some defective units or something. My 5 (on LTE) will drop at most 2% overnight. If it's been charged before I sleep sometimes I'll wake up and it'll still be at 100%.

Same. Other times I feel like it bleeds battery life. I went to the bar last night at 11:15 with 29% battery, fully expecting my battery to die. Even with a bunch of texting, using apps, and going on the internet, I was still at 8% and alive and kicking by the time I went home at 4. That's 21% in 5 hours, which seems like a lot now that I look at it that way... But that would be 100% in over 24 hours, which is pretty god damn good battery life, at least from my experience.

What is everyone using for their case? I purchased a Lifeproof, however, I am looking to buy a day-to-day case also, or should I purchase applecare+ and forgo a day-to-day case?
