What are you guys using to text internationally? I use whatsapp right now and it's been great but it requires my US contacts to have access to the interwebz on their device.

why don't you just have your US contacts text you on your us number?

I'm not immediately connected to service when I arrive, sometimes I have to use wifi.

As a previous owner of a Galaxy Nexus, the time-stamped texts were the only feature of Android I can fondly look back on. As an overall package, Android just did not meet my needs. The biggest killer was the absolutely, positively, atrocious, abysmal battery life.

I thought you lived in NY for some reason, we were planning a meat up soon. You interested?

Glad to hear it. I'm really rooting for RIMM and I have high hopes for their BB10 platform as well as their stock, lol.

Dude, you should know I live in Dallas. I do make pretty frequent trips to NYC, though and I'm looking to move there this summer. When are you guys meating up?

Man if their stock doesn't go up im fucked, not really, but still I'm not trying to lose money.

Damn NYC, that's a big step. I would love to move up there but unless I make 6 figures + I would find it very hard to be comfortable. Plus business is located in Houston so it would be unwise to move.

Well as soon as mouse gets his life together we can schedule a date. (Read this mouse)

All the Halfbrick studios games are free today, including Fruit Ninja.

I'd be lying if I said 90% of my friends didn't have iPhones, so I use iMessage from my appleID for all my texting pretty much, which means they don't even know if I've left the country or not (I'm abroad 6 months a year). It works out great.

While I think that putting a phone in wood is odd and ultimately incoherent this case by Element is pretty cool

I know in the past push and Gmail would only work if you set up email through Exchange, is this still the case?

Gmail has an app now, and when i had it set up with the default Mail app, push worked fine. Decided I like the Gmail app better though so I switched to it.

Tried out the Gmail app for a few days but didn't like it, I'll go through the default mail app again. Only thing I don't like about exchange is I can't load older emails without changing the settings.

What do you guys that don't like (read: hate) iTunes use as an alternative? I tried CopyTrans but it said iPhone 5 isn't supported yet.
I don't like iTunes either but for just managing music on my phone it's not bad. I don't sync or anything, just check the box for manually manage and drag over what I want or delete from my phone.
