Like many others apparently I am experiencing battery life issues on my 4 with iOS 6. I was at 60% by 2pm today. Just ran into a friend, same issues, 60% by 3pm. I was listening to streaming earlier, he was not.

I've switched location services off to see if that helps. If that's the case it's similar to when iOS 4 first came out. Same bug?

My iPad does not have the same issue; it's wifi only.

Yeah, mine, also 4S, seems to be better - I downloaded iOS 6 yesterday. Today I listened to Sirius XM for two hours at the gym, spent an hour or so talking to my mom, and used several apps. Battery atm is 69%; before the download it would have been below 50% by now.

iOS 5 had some battery issues when released too for some users. Apple released a patch that fixed most. If it's a bug, they will hopefully be made aware of it.

Those of you that travel out of the country frequently may be interested:

I bought one of those factory unlock services on ebay last night for my ATT iphone 5. Followed the instructions and itunes gave me the "congratulations your phone is now unlocked" message. Paid $17 and the entire process took about 15 minutes.

I haven't actually tested with a sim card yet because I don't have a non-ATT one but my friend is sending me a foreign nano sim in a few days, will test it out then. Fairly certain it'll work though since I don't think it's possible to fake that message in itunes.

Also if you guys didn't read, the on contract iPhone 5's for Verizon come unlocked. Throw in an ATT SIM card and you are good to go. I'm assuming that if you travel internationally, you can just get a local SIM and use that.

So I went to the local Apple Store to see if they had demos. They did indeed, and they had iphones left. ATT Black 32GB only. So I test whether the phone mic works with my headphones using SIri. Works. Paid 3 Bens, stuck with my ATT unlimited data plan for another 2 years. Woo Hoo.

Why did you pay for it? There are plenty of guides on the internet, no?

Still way to early to know. Give it a couple weeks, but even then that's hardly enough for a long term use test.
