iPhone 5 - Page 23

What do you mean between sprint and apple? Apple is not a carrier they just sell the device. You can just get a sprint iphone. My girlfriend has one.

the worst thing about the iphone is the carriers.

I have an AT&T one now, when I get the new one I am thinking of switching to Verizon, however if I have to change my phone number I am not doing it.

Issues related to my contract and unlocking and a number of bermuda triangle style corporate policies that I've spent WAY too long dealing with.

Yeah, that's a dumb rumor. Just ignore.

If it is not can I still opt to pay more for it if I would like to?

Better you just send me the money. I'll stand in line for you and keep the difference as a service charge.

I would rather pay the company for what I think it is worth.

I would pay $1,000 for an iPhone 5s.

That's not a problem with the iPhone, problem with whatever carrier you're using isen't itt? Can you change carrier? Assuming it's unlocked and you're not commited to a mandatory contract.

There's probably some peeps that would pay $2000 for it.

Has anyone ever thought about using Virgin Mobile USA? It's a pretty intriguing option for an iPhone. You pay upfront for an unlocked iPhone 4 or 4S but you cannot use it internationally. (Save me your reply that you can, you can't, so it's not a true unlocked iPhone.)

Anyways, you pay upfront for the phone but then you can get a hell of a monthly deal with no contract. ($30 a month, 300 mins (10 cents each minute over), unlimited texting and data). You are however running on Sprint's 3G network which I've heard is much slower data-wise compared to Verizon and AT&T.

I'm most likely getting the next iPhone with AT&T however I'm seriously thinking about this. I could sell my unlocked iPhone 4 and that should cover the expense of the VM iPhone 4S. If I do the math I'd be saving essentially 1k over 2 years with the Virgin plan.

I have a Sprint iPhone 4 (also a Softbank 4S in Japan and a KT 3GS in Korea, I use all three). I have no idea why I chose Sprint, I think I was really hot and tired at the time and thought I was going into a Verizon store. Sprint sucks, though, so I don't know how good of a deal that is if it means lots of annoyances all the time.

I love the iPhone, but have used ATT and Sprint iPhones and the ATT iPad all over the US - big cities, the middle of nowhere, just don't really feel the coverage/service is that good, sometimes the load times for data are horrifically slow. I really miss having Korean cellular service day to day - it's screamingly fast and they have had the entire country wired in every possible nook and cranny for 3G for like 10 years now. It's faster down below ground while riding the subway than it is above ground level sometimes. Tokyo's cellular services are not that great. Train lines are not wired for 3G or voice, so you can forget about doing anything but writing drafts or playing pre-loaded games. I find a lot of simple data things to be laggy on Softbank. Not really happy with it. It's not an equipment thing though.
