iPhone 5 - Page 179

What's so special about that case? It's kinda ugly.

Peace of mind.

My current case is alright but it still leaves the front open to scratches, and it is collecting a lot of lint/dust on the edges where the glass meets case.
I actually find the LifeProof case aesthetically neutral. It's not ugly IMO or over the top. For my purposes it gives great utility in protecting the actual phone.

* * *

I noticed something yesterday when I was sending a text. The touch pad keyboard had a static line in through the middle letter keys similar to what you see when a channel on the TV does not show up. It was very fine horizontal line and lasted long enough for me to see it and touch the screen before it disappeared. Really weird.

I had the exact same thing yesterday, twice, while I was trying to type in a password. I tried to take a screen shot of it but it didn't capture the static.

I wonder if others are reporting this issue.

Re: invisible shield: I bought one but fucked up applying it frown.gif peeled it off and threw it out.

you guys should just go to those kiosks that inevitably get set up outside the apple stores that sell and apply the film for you. my wife had it done at some place called "ghost armor" for 45 bux and waited 5 minutes

Looking at the Switcheasy cases and they come with plugs to fill all the port openings. Haven't seen, heard or known this existed. Reasoning is dust and lint enter into the phone thru the openings and is the major cause of phones malfunctioning. Any thoughts, comments or experiences?

I can second Switcheasy's products. They are really well made and not expensive compared to the competition.

O, Hai!

I've been using iphones since the 3GS and never had a case that covered any port openings and never had any problems. Don't think that's a common problem.

That's what I thought. Seems over the top OCD.

I think maybe I will get one next weekend.

SNL skit this weekend lampooning the tech blogs' reactions to the iPhone 5 was awesome, and awesomely un-PC, too.
