As far as giving me that overall ultimate user experience that it is so touted to deliver? Not seeing that.
I've decided to give it a chance until the next gen Samsung comes out at least. That way I have several months to play with the device, which admittedly has a different platform than my previous, and I can make a decision down the road.

Where do these claims come from? I feel like this shit is just in your head. Apple is king of hyperbole and it looks like you are taking it as if people can't like another phone or if they do it is inferior. You are free to pick whatever phone you want. Find one that suits you. Who gives a shit if someone else thinks theirs is better or if some blog rates another higher? If you are happy with it that's all that should matter.

P.S.-The iPhone was a giant leap forward in the cell phone market. So while the statement that it is the greatest thing ever to happen to phones may be a little grandiose it certainly was a device that was a game changer.

Is it possible that the USB drives are different? It may because one of your computers has a USB 1.0 and the other is 2.0 or 3.0. Just a thought.

JM, Isn't it more about what the manufacturer decides? I've got two ICS 4.0 devices, a Lenovo phone and an Ampe 7inch tablet. The phone does have a separate "Back" touch sensitive button, as well as "Home", "Menu" and "Switch Tasks". and the tablet doesn't, "Back" is at the bottom of the screen on the tablet, and is not always visible depending on the app that's running.

Jellybean 4.1 is now the new version, not sure if things are different with that though regarding separate "Back" buttons etc.

Enough about Androids from me, you can all go back to discussing the iPhone 5. smile.gif

I was commenting on stock Android. It's the only version that's truly Googles vision for what the platform should be and how it should behave. I consider all these skins and diversions from stock Android a problem for the platform, but I dont want to get into that here.

you reminded me of a semi-gripe I have with the phone. shit is so slim and the surface is slippery that I've had to go back to my car 5 times in the last two weeks because it slipped out of my pants pocket while driving and was sitting on the seat

I actually think this is as thin as they should go. I would rather not see Apple make the next redesign any thinner. They can change the overall design, just not cut down any size in that area. It's getting to the point that it takes away from the users grip.

Hey, maybe they can recommend you an app for the other thread you started yesterday. The Brain Training one. (I had to look it up. shog[1].gif )

So has anyone found a nice, upscale but masculine leather case for the iPhone 5 yet? I'm getting tired of the rubber sheath I have mine in.

What I would love to see is something like the eveready case for the Minox C and LX cameras. Someone should adapt that design.

So who do I talk to to do a Kickstarter project on something like this?

Is there any consensus here as to which case to get? I need one but there are too many choices.

Yeah
I just want that and will wait for it to be sold.

Like I said earlier, I held an iPhone with that case and it was perfect in hand. Regarding the thinness talked about, I think right now but be just a tad too thin. Hence, I will not mind volume the LifeProof case will provide. It will be good.
