I can second Switcheasy's products. They are really well made and not expensive compared to the competition.

I will say, after handling an iPhone 5 with case that I wouldn't worry too much about how thin it is. The new phone is thin enough and unless it's one of those bloated Otterbox's you should be fine. Might even aid in the grip some.

Speaking of cases;

One of the guys at the station has a water resistant case on his 4s which he talks about all the time. He even goes to the extreme of randomly throwing his phone on the ground to prove how "good" the case is. I am waiting for the day when the phone breaks and he comes to the realization that water resistant does not mean shock proof. moron.

oh and I have class with a hipster who wears toms, either his pleb shoes smelled or the big piece of lard sitting in front of me was starting to rot. GAWD it was awful.

I kinda like the military green one, but would probably opt for black.




The Lanyard like looks like they have some tasteful ones designed for women. Much nicer then the bling and leopard prints I see going around.

I wish they made a red like they do for the iPad cases.

This would be a nice feature but is not critical. I am sure the next generation will have this colour. /fanboi

The problem with all these cases that cover the edges of the screens is that lint/dirt/debris inevitably gets trapped under those edges and you can see the shit just pile up each and every time you pull your phone out of your pocket.

I don't know how you would engineer a case that doesn't trap dirt around the screen's edges, but I would pay a premium for a case that could prevent such build-up.

The SwitchEasy looks very nice, but it no doubt will still collect dust.

My current case doesn't collect much dust at all.

Is it really that much of a hassle to take it off and clean it every once in a while?

No, it's not a hassle at all.

It's just super aggravating to see all this shit get caked up and border my screen EACH and EVERY time I take my phone out of my pocket.

So, visually, it annoys me. And psychologically, it bothers me knowing that there's a mountain of dust under the case.

Some of the paint has flaked off of my Blackberry and I can see little bits of Iraq inside my phone. Just think about all that crap you can't see!

still holding out for the first case with an integrated external battery. battery life still sucks, although tbh i've realized that it isn't worse than my iphone 4...and this is with sweet delicious LTE.
