Fwiw I liked it. Very stream of consciousness like shah said, but there are quite a few nice insights into Yohji's design & thought process and philosophy so if you are interested in that and are using it as a gateway into his mind, you could definitely do worse. It is not a "fashion book" as such though. Instead of twitter I would say it is like compiling a lot of tumblr posts on Yohji interviews and quotes into a book. That could be the height of inanity and pretension, but it could also be interesting if you like that sort of thing.

Check out the pdf on the thread (first post has a link) and see what you think.

I also have "Japanese Fashion Designers" and that's not bad. Been looking for books on Comme des Garcons but never have any luck. Where are you getting yours shah (please don't say eBay)?

amazon has them but before dropping hundreds I'd like to know if I would even want the books.

Future Beauty is excellent. Will check out the second link KJ.

Will browse amazon.com, .co.uk has some crazy prices on the Rei Kawakubo specific books.

^ The styling and photography on those is cool but I'm not sure there's much there once you take that away.

Do you guys think Raf's line is gonna improve now that instead of having to do three lines he's only got the one?

I sure hope so. I also think it would be neat to see a Raf Simons women's line, his work at Jil was really good and it'd be a shame if he stopped doing women's.

So what's the deal, is Raf going to Dior or not? It's like the rumor mill was going nuts, then he left Jil and it just stopped. But I don't recall ever seeing it confirmed that he was headed there.

AFAIK it is still only a rumor. And as cool as Hedi at YSL and Raf at Dior would be, I hope we're not just trying to relive the glory days or something.
