My kid fell hit his head on the ground (grass) once and had a concussion that affected him for over a year: no gym class, no soccer no physical exertion whatsoever.  He also had headaches that lasted for teh next year and a half.  Zimerman's head was repeatedly slammed against the concrete yet he only had 2 small cuts, no concussion and no long term brain trauma?  I'm not buying it

This is some high level stupid fucking shit in this post.

He was resisting, fighting back, but he was worried he'd be overwhelmed and seriously hurt. He also said he was disoriented from having his head banged, which I think anybody who's ever hit his head can understand.

The other day I was ducking under an opening garage door and hit my head on the table of my bandsaw on my way up. Left a bump and little scratch (which bled a lot), but it was very disorienting.

This is why this thread will never die. People keep coming in spouting thoroughly debunked information.

Multiple hits with what has been described by Zimmerman as forceful slams on the concrete (mostly the grass) yet 2 small cuts but  no brain trauma?  I'm not buying it

I still want an answer to "fear of what" but now I would like to know your expertise in concussions too. I'm no expert but know that how one's head is hit has much to do with whether a concussion is sustained and how bad it will be. In fact, one does not even need a blow to the head to sustain a concussion. It is more about the brain moving around than a blow to the head. Research indicates impact with which cause the brain to "twist" on the brain stem are more dire than a back and forth motion...like the motion of having one's head pounded on the cement. Also, children are usually more susceptible to concussions than an adult in the prime of life. Again, no expert, but still interested in the answer to my previous question.

Is this belief based on some sort of medical training or on the fact that your kid fell one time?

One might flee from this without being afraid. Let's say one were high on drugs, had recent school problems (so did not need additional problems), and was in the middle of doing something that would get one in trouble. I would say that's a pretty good set of reasons to avoid this stranger without being in fear.

what has been debunked?  Zimmerman's rendition is taken as the gospel and other possibilities are not even plausible?  Now I don't believe there was enough evidence to convict Zimmerman and I've thought that from the very beginning.  But to sit here and act like Zimmerman was an innocent victim and Martin a drug addled gangbanging criminal is a friggin joke.

Zimmerman got away with murder and child is dead.

Ah, here comes the stupid. It is wrong to find ZImmerman's account, the account that matches pretty well with the preponderance of evidence and eye and ear witness testimony, the most likely account (most likely =! gospel btw, nice mischaracterizing) but you know for sure, in pretty much total lack of evidence, the Zimmerman "got away with murder."

I've seen many kids injured from single blows.  I've sat in the concussion clinic of Washington Hospital Center and read countless medical journals while getting myself up to speed on concussions.  And I'm not buy the story that his head was slammed on the concrete multiple times without causing long term injuries

Bu maybe Zimmerman has super powers like Mr. Fantastic or Plasticman.  It could happen...

What makes you think T. was fleeing? Did you not listen to Jaentel's testimony?

His story is consistent with the evidence, something that is hard to do when you're making shit up.

It's also a lot harder to believe that a man in his 20s called the police and then hunted down a stranger and murdered him than it is to believe a hotheaded teenager got annoyed with a stranger scoping him out and decided to beat the guy up.
