Could the Birdman have been right?

Did George Zimmerman's prosecutors try to get him off?: Jarvis DeBerry

http://www.nola.com/opinions/index.ssf/2013/07/did_george_zimmermans_prosecut.html

A New Orleans Attorney think so as the above article in the Times Picayune says.

IMO it's BS if you read the article. The prosecution was inept but I don't think they tried to lose the case. Maybe they knew they had an uphill battle and they wanted to keep up appearances. Their closing arguments were short on the law and the facts but they were impassioned.

And let's not forget that the jury initially went into deliberations with 3 not guilty, 2 for manslaughter and 1 for M2.

Canadians love talking about the US and it's issues mostly because there isn't much to talk about up here. The things we could talk about will never be solved and it looks like a dog chasing a tail but you Merican's make us feel good about our petty squables.

As a Canadian...that's not how I feel about the situation although you hint at it. The vast majority of Canadians have varying degrees of smugness and superciliousness towards the US and the farther left along the political scale a Canadian goes the more the feelings towards the US increase. Just my opinion albeit one formed on over four decades of experience being a Canuck. Once a Canadian moves past a certain point to the left of the political scale a material amount of their self-concept seems to be tied up with proving how superior Canadian society is to US society.

I was just wondering because most of the Canadians I know are west coast skiers and they tend to be country boy , sledneck thrill seeker types . I find it hard to imagine them giving much of a shit about anything that didn't place their lives in immediate danger
