I thought GT was from Minnesota or Wyoming, or one of those shitty states no one remembers the capital of. If he's legit from Ill and doesn't carry a gun with him to the grocery store he's completely negligent in securing his own safety.

Not to mention that it's Florida, which is barely in the South.

GT lives in the very safe Chicago suburbs. Really anywhere in Chicago is safe so long as you aren't a gang member.

A man from Pennsylvania, the state that gave us Rick Santorum and Bob Casey, JR, is badmouthing other states?

Minnesota sucks though... I hate it here.

Or if you perform at an Obama inauguration.

I will bet you a beer ( no with you, make that 5 ) that there are at least two African Americans on the Jury.

They don't want to make the PC police mad or get Al and Jesse back to soon.

Somebody might owe somebody else a few beers here, just saying.

At least the press has an out regardless of the decision. If he's convicted, given the racial makeup of the jury it will be a testament to how strong the evidence was against him. If he walks the jury was racist.

You win. Come to Houston,Texas where St Arnolds is brewed and you will be paid.

I still think there will probably be a hung jury. If a verdict is rendered ( either way, if he walks or is convicted ) I'll buy you a 6 pack, and St Arnolds is good stuff smile.gif

Lawyers are devious bastards, on both sides. Do you think there is any possibility that the State and Judge Nelson realized that Z had been way overcharged, so they are preparing for a possible acquittal by allowing a jury to be seated that might conceivably acquit, and then the prosecution can say "we tried, but that jury was not going to convict"?

I still think the jury make up is key. If there were 3 black jurors and 3 white jurors it would certainly be a hung jury IMO. Now there is a chance for a verdict and I think that it leans toward an acquittal or a hung jury. But I am not a devious bastard, so what do I know.

Honestly the all-female demographic has me perplexed. I have no idea how they'll react.

And I will be coming to Houston at some point to claim my prize. Count on it.

At this point, the safe money is on Zimmerman being acquitted. Considering the evidence it's hard to imagine a fair jury convicting, and this one seems close enough.

He absolutely did not commit 2nd degree murder. Unless there's a last minute motion to add manslaughter he walks.

Remember the political season and the smart money.

What are the Intrade odds on this case?

I say that facetiously though I would not be surprised if there are people betting on the outcome.

Remember when the Feds shut down Intrade?
