Apparently that's not God's will. Unless he dies soon. In which case it is God's will. Mysterious.

This is a pre trial interview. There is an almost zero chance of getting honest answers to these questions.

Good lord, he really needs to STFU. I'm baffled at his attorney's strategy, if there actually is one.

If he's absolutely determined to go the publicity route, then he needs to try to rally the Hispanic community and/or repeatedly hammer home his narrative.

You guys seem to be missing the point that the dyanmic duo wasn't just robbing the business, they were also robbing the customers. It's not really a defense of others shooting.

Rach, conserving the movie shooting -

First , I think tha what americans like, that I find distasteful is the preference for this type of outcome to an outcome possibly involving law enforcemt with no actual gunfire. It would have been better all around if the police could have stopped this with no one getting hurt, even the bad guys. But tha wasn't an option, so this old man interviened.

Secondly, more liberal people, often with less actual experience, seem to fin a lack of 'fairness' offensive - it seems to be that it would be preferable to some people that the old man waited until the bad guys killed somebody, then warned them, then counted to 3 and then shot the one with the gun and found a bat so he could have a fair fight with the one with a bat. That isn't the way it works - there was a chance, maybe not a huge chance but a solid Vance that these guys would kill somebody. Every day there are robberies that go wrong and somebody gets killed even if every one of the victims cooperates. The old man had a chance and he took it. Good for him

Rach, I can't find my CCW permit holder demographics but I can tell you that most of the holders are male middle to upper middle income bracket aged between 35-55. Woman make up a substantial number of CCW holders. More or less the same sort of demographics as the men. What is of interest is more woman are getting them as well as the younger age set.

Interesting points, thanks gents. My remarks here were curiosity, not a political stance, based on the initial reactions to the video by members. Those wouldn't make sense in all settings, so I wondered why it seems so "natural" (at least in the USA among males) for us to view the situation this way. Personally, I'm not losing any sleep over these robbers getting shot...

So Zimmerman gets a new judge courtesy of an interlocutory appeal, after the last one called him a liar and confiscated his entire defense fund for bail. Then he ordered the statement from Zimmerman's kissing cousin released, over the objection of both Z and the prosecutors.

It's a surprise, actually. Recusing a judge is really hard to do.

Here's the order: fixed the link: http://www.5dca.org/Clerk/George%20Zimmerman%2012-3198/5D12-3198.op.pdf

That is surprising.

Wait, what's the relevance of the kissing cousin again?
She said Zimmerman's family doesn't like black people unless they act white. With about that level of detail.

See, that's relevant because she might be called as a rebuttal witness if Zimmerman tries to put on proof that his family likes black people even if when they don't act white. So the prosecutors put it in the discovery and the judge ordered the whole thing released.

Edit: released ... to the media. He ordered irrelevant, inflammatory, and completely inadmissible dirt on Zimmerman released to the media just because it was put in discovery. That, in a case where Z has already been subjected to an immense about media attention and inaccurate, prejudicial reporting.

I know Florida has open records laws, but I find it hard to believe that was necessary.

At this point, Zimmerman should just be released. Any chance he had at a fair trial is long gone.
