I want to be Lilith. Niles put it well..."When you kiss her, you get an ice-cream headache."

I dunno how I feel about being Norm. But I guess I have very little say in it, so whatever...

I have no idea what you're talking about. These must be TV references.

Exactly. I check the forum everysday just in case there is an amazing sale. I found out about the Paul Stuart sale of 05 during my on call day. I went to the sale post-call after having been up 30+ hrs, looking and feeling like a complete mess. I did come out with a nice pair of black Jodhpurs for <$200 and so it was worth it.

Unfortunately, there hasn't been a great sale since the last Asprey sale of '06. Interestingly, I also went to the first Asprey sale after having been up all night - it was right after the NY Viennese opera ball. I went home to change out of black tie (I would feel kinda wierd standing in line in black tie for a sale at 7 AM on Sun. morning). But that made me a little too late to get the EG city boots or Lattanzi blucher. *sniff* OTOH meeting all the guys at the breakfast afterwards was kinda nice.

A lot of the references here I don't understand at all. I guess not experiencing the posts of such former members as Ernest and Josh keeps a person from ever really feeling a part of the camaraderie.

Nah...everyone is part of the gang. Just do some searches for posts by "the Infamous Ones" (Ernest, et al) and you can get caught up. It's really not necessary, of course, as the history of this place will continue to be written.

But, it does help to know some of the historical references. Here is an important one:

Consider yourself lucky, in some cases it was downright awful...
