yeah, Andys has kept itself up as a knowledge based site, but (to dip into yet another of AC's simile library), SF is like a dive bar, where everybody knows your name and where Sam and Diane are fighting again and Coach is...oh wait thats somewhere else.

Perhaps those of us who cut our sartorial teeth here have an obligation to illuminate the fresh crop of newbies in search of guidance.

I always liked LAGuy's bar analogy. The core of regulars have already argued at length all of the traditional bar arguments: best team, hottest chick, etc. So when a new guy comes in and tries to bring those things up, we can get a little churlish. Maybe we shouldn't. But still, it's bound to happen.
