Another MTM Critique

Hi, I would appreciate critiques on my mtm shirt. I found it impossible to find a shirt with a 15.5 neck and a mid section that didn't look like a parachute, especially above the pants on the back.
This is after 3 washes. Also, how is the yoke? I have no idea where it is supposed to end.

Ridiculous post.

Most folk maange to post photographs we can see. You offer URLs which do not work - and just for a shirt of unknown origin.

works for me..

On inspection. Looks pretty good for a 1st shirt. Arms might be a tad short, but that's nitpicking.

The shirt scars are unfortunate....

Might add some to the hips, as they are very tight right now. Probably could add about a half inch to the sleeves as well. The cuff length looks disproportionate to me.

Seriously though, use the goddamn image button on the editor. It's right next to the paperclip. Use the "url" option.

balck unbrealla- I assume shirt scars are the creases on the elbow? As well, my apology for the urls, the photos were taking forever to load so I didnt try the url method for photos. Fixed though.

a tailor- I meant 'altered' to mean for my next shirt. I changed it to 'next shirt' to try and avoid the confusion.

Nope, I mean the darts in the back. Always make it look like you re-purposed a woman's blouse. Hate them, but some people don't. Also, the darts seem to be failing in their task of taking in the back. You might try bringing in the waist measurement, that might fix it.

the whole shirt just looks uncomfortably tight.
the yoke is two narrow, unless the look of a high yoke, which brings up
the armhole and removes fullness in the upper chest.
of course you need that to move ,
the hips are way too tight
does not allow the shirt to drop properly into your pants.

your posture is not great.
YOur shoulders point too far forward.
that is causing some of the breaking from the neck .

there is an alteraition to the pattern for this,but doubtrful on a made to measure program

cuffs are very tight. you will blow out the elbow before you know it

Black umbrella and Shirtmaven, I appreciate the comments.
So from the values I listed above for my next shirt I should change my yoke to 18.5, and half waist to 18? The reason I had the darts and the narrow waist measurement was to try and get rid of some of the extra fabric on my lower back. Anything I can do about the pattern or posture problem? Students budget so price is a factor.

Or it's possible that the cuffs are too tight, which is keeping them from falling to their proper length. Personally, I like my shirts to fit very close to my body, and so this looks really good to me aside from the tight cuffs.

Who made it, and how many times has it been washed?

I'd say pretty good, I like mine a little slimmer but overall that's a good 1st shirt.

Where's it from?

Ignore GBR - some people spend their time wanking themselves off over their all encompassing style knowledge. It's your fist post - what more was he expecting.

The cuffs are too tight for sure. I will be fixing that. I ordered it from Modern tailor. It has been washed 2 times on hot and dried on max, just for the purpose of seeing how much it would shrink. Should the yoke be bigger or not?

To the OP, I went through this myself reciently. Your better off measuring a shirt that fits you well and making adjustments off of that, rather than your body IMO.
