Been wanting one for a long long time but just couldnt spend THAT much extra cash on one.

But its come to a point in my life when i say screw it i deserve something nice that will last me a long time.

I am using a LV leather wallet now for almost 5years and its my one and only. Time to change.

Been thinking bout a Hermes one but their website is almost useless.

Doing a google search didnt help much either.

My criteria is below

- Bi fold
- 2 compartment for notes
- NO coin compartment
- 6 card only slot best fits me.
- Not black. Green is my fav color.

I have seen the 8 card one and i think its too big for me.

The Hermes store in Malaysia does not stock any calf and only has a croc skin one which is SUPER expensive.

Does anyone have any idea on which model and maybe some pics that i can view?

Anyone has any of their own that they can share and comment on the quality?

I have a friend that is going to Paris in 2 months and i might ask him to help me check out their store there.

Much appreciate the help.

Blowing money on a fancy wallet to reside inside your pocket is an absolute waste unless you have stacks of cash to blow. Spending exorbitant sums on this type of item is more of an exercise in brand enslavement than anything else, in my opinion.

Agreed. Would much rather put that money toward something people will see all the time like a good pair of shoes.

+1

Edit: I heard something AWESOME once. If your wallet cost more than the amount of money you're every going to have in it, don't buy it!

Wow didnt expect to receive these kinda replies.

And no i am a short Asian guy. But what does that have to do with choosing wallets?

Do you have a top of the line wardrobe to match the effrontery of a Hermes wallet? Having a Hermes wallet will never, ever get you laid. Having a closet full of sharp ensembles might.

I don't intend to be unkind but I think this is a very unwise investment.

did you know Bernard Arnault, ceo of LVMH, is worth 41 billion dollars?

how many insecure little cowardly small men must give him more and more money to enrich him (comon, 41 billion dollars, 4th richest in the world now), in return for some peices of leather that others will instantly overlook and will just merely laugh that a little man that thinks buying a brand name bring him more worth than the money he lost paying for it?

Be sure to get a pink cashmere tie to go with it. Preferably Attolini.

Hey, I like nice wallets. Maybe not Hermes, but I like something that pleases me, not anyone else on occasion. I have a Bottega. So Takashi, if it pleases you and you can afford it, go for it!

It's all relative.

I am fairly new to the forums, but isn't this supposed to be a place for discussion about fashion and accessories? It's very thoughtful of you guys to advise your financial opinions, but he clearly wasn't asking for any.

Whats with the racial toning around here?

The first line of his post was "Been wanting one for a long long time but just couldnt spend THAT much extra cash on one." which seems to indicate that he recently got a bit more money and wants to buy some nice things. It seems that in the majority of readers' opinions spending thousands on such a useless accessory as a piece of folded cow flesh with an H stamped on it isn't the wisest place to start. But hey... fashion forward drinkslingers should be uber impressed when he drops that baby down on the bar to pay for alcohol!

Sorry, thought this forum is about discussing about fashion and stuff.
Not mock a new user who is just seeking opinion.

It not that i have no cash to buy the wallet, i just prefer to spend it somewhere else like watches.

Its just that now i want a nice wallet to pamper myself.

If this is the kind of response i get by just wanting to get some opinion on a particular brand of wallet then guess i am in the wrong forum.
